Chase turns 11! Oh My!!!

Pool Party Ideas
Chase turned 11 today. Boy where has the time gone. We had a pool party for him and invited some of his closest friends. It was a hot day and the pool felt really good. Cindy made him a really cute sign and I had a Luau cake made. I've been so busy with baseball and photo shoots I didn't have time to make the cake this year.
I took Chases' pictures under water for his invitation. I'm still trying to get as good as my friend Lisa Reilly. She is AMAZING! You should check out her stuff. Lisa Reilly Photography.
Here are the rest of his Pool Party pictures. Hope you enjoy!

The friends big SPLASH!
Chase I'm so blessed to have you. You are full of LIFE. It is so fun to watch you in all the things you enjoy. You are so loving to everyone around you. You do tend to be a wee bit spoiled sometimes but you are always fast to say your sorry. You are the best son I could ever ask for and I love you. Thanks for always watching out for your mom. You are a very special kid and I hope you had a fantastic 11th birthday. WE LOVE YOU CHASE. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Synergy Retreat Kauai
I have so much fun going on the Synergy Retreat every year. The people are so fun. We really have a good time together. We are like a Big Family. How lucky is it to actually like who you work with. Pretty lucky I admit.
As I'm typing this I cannot remember what the hotels name is where we stayed. It was Awesome.
We went on a catamaran ride to the Napali Coast. The sun was out and it was warm and so beautiful. You know that's where the last Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed? On the way back they picked up speed and I didn't want to get wet. I went below and (oh my) I started to get SO SICK! I never get sea sick EVER! I have an iron stomach. Yup my iron stomach totally turned upside down. I still cannot believe I lost my lunch. Thank goodness I wasn't on the other boat. You people that went totally know what I'm talking about. Never again on a catamaran.
I got up early one morning to take sunrise pictures. It was so beautiful and peaceful. I love to sit and watch the sun come up. Usually I would be in bed snoozing away but in Hawaii the time change allows me to enjoy the sunrise.
I wanted to do something a little bit different with my pictures. I made them all about the sun. I love the Hawaiian sun and the warmth in the middle of the winter.
The last day we took a small group and drove around the island. Kauai is the Garden Island and it has the wettest place in the world on top of it's volcano. It also has the Hawaiian Grand Canyon. I don't have any pictures however because I just enjoyed our resort. Here are some from our drive around the island.
I love the tiki torches all over the island, how they light up the night.
We went to the final dinner and enjoyed a lovely sunset.
Goodbye Hawaii... Until next year!

The Winter Cabin 12/9-11/2011

This last winter Grandma and Grandpa Higginson rented a family cabin in Park City. It was our Christmas Gift from them. My family absolutely loves it. Chase couldn't wait to get up there he had been packed for two weeks before we even left. It is so relaxing. We just sit by the fire watching movies, talking, playing games, talking, eating, sleeping, sledding, laughing, eating and sleeping. We love it. Thank you Julie and Duane for a wonderful time. We loved your Christmas gift. I have such a fun extended family. We laugh the whole time we are together. Their is nothing like stories from the Higginson Brothers.
The Cabin-It was beautiful.
Uncle Jeff telling stories to all the wee little ones.
They had the cabin decorated for Christmas. It was so warm and cozy.
Molly isn't quite sure what she should be wearing to go sledding.
I'm glad she figured it out. Burr a swimsuit in the snow would have been cold. Yes she has her swimsuit on under her pink snow outfit. So she is ready to get in the hot tub when she gets done sledding.
I love this cute picture of Gracie. I know I have the cutest nieces and nephews.
Even Joel and Julie love to play in the snow.
Chase earned money to buy this sled that looked like a snowmobile. I can not tell you how excited he was to ride it. We had a hard time getting him off the sledding hill. It was getting dark.
Last year we had such a BIG SNOWY Winter. This year we have only had a little snow. The winter flowers are peeping through.
We really had a great time. Thank you again Julie and Duane for a WONDERFUL WINTERY VACATION. WE LOVE YOU.
