Happy 13th Birthday Katelyn November 3, 2009

Happy 13th Birthday Bugs.

Yes, I'm finally posting Katelyn's (now a teenager pictures). Katelyn is truly the best daughter. She is so loving and helpful. I thank God every day. He blessed our lives by sending her to us. We have so much fun together and I love that she lets me hang around with her and all her fun girlfriends.
I can't believe she is a teenager. She very rarely has those teen age moments and when she does they are usually provoked. Wow. Where did the time go.
Looking back through the years, here is a list of Katelyn's top 10 favorite things.
1. Teletubbies. He O. I could not stand them, but she absolutely loved them and I had to watch them every morning. Ugh. How I lived through that I will never know.
2. Bugs. She loved bugs. Bugs of any shape and species. This is how she came by her nick name Katie bugs. You would always see her with some kind of bug crawling on her or in her hands. Yes, even holding a snake. YIKES (Sometimes I wonder where she came from.)
3. Her Daddy. From the first moment he put on her little Dallas Cowboy onesie, she has been a fan. She knows she has her dad wrapped around her little finger.
4. Friends. She has always been a social butterfly. She loves her friends and can't ever have enough.
5. Steak with soy sauce. Her very favorite meal.
6. Animals. She loves animals and her dream finally came true last Christmas when Santa (the old goon) finally brought her a dog and she named him Frosty.
7. Hawaii. She absolutely loves swimming and sunbathing. Okay just swimming she was born a fish.
8. Ice Cream. Katelyn loves ice cream. Even though it makes her stomach deathly sick to eat it. She loves it.
9. Softball. She looks forward to warmer weather so she can play softball. If you ask her there is nothing better then hearing 1..2..3 strikes your OUT. She is a pitcher for her softball team.
10. Entrepreneur. Katelyn loves starting up new businesses. Her latest adventure is Lady Bug Retreat day spa. Believe it or not it's been a success. Thanks to all her many friends. I admit she is really good at doing acrylic nails. I will post a picture later. I have been impressed.
Katelyn is the light and joy of my life. I love her very much she is such a great daughter. She is very good about helping me with my photography business, even though I drive her completely nuts. Thanks Katelyn for being you.

Yes, More Halloween

I've been working hard and have finally found a little time to update my blog. Here is a little more Halloween. I had to post Chases' pumpkin because it took us so long to carve. He loved how it turned out. Next year, I swear I'll be buying paint and painting the face on. Katelyn was the Halloween Queen with her awesome skirt. ( I must admit I love the skirt.) Chase was a 3 Musketeer and I was Maid Marion from Robin Hood. I wanted Chase to be Robin Hood so we could match. Well you can see who got his way. I thought he looked so cute in his Musketeer costume. I just love Halloween.

More witches.

It's a tradition to go to witches night with my mom, sister and her family but they couldn't go that night. We barely squeezed it in before Halloween but we made it. Here are a few more pictures of my family at Gardners Village. I made Katelyn and Anna matching skirts. I have to admit they were soooo cute. I had people ask me wear I bought them! I told them I made them and they asked if I made them for people. I said no, then Katelyn came up to me and told me I should have said yes. I could have made a lot of money. Let me just start another little project in all of my spare time. Ya Right. The pictures don't do the skirts justice. They were all glittery and sparkly. Perfect for Halloween.

Chase wanted to dress-up to. Can you tell what he went as? A mighty hunter of course.

I love this picture of my Mom and Anna. I wish my sister would just hand her over. We would have so much fun. I'm her favorite Aunt. He, He.

Witches at Gardners Village

Katelyn and Allison met up with two more cute little sister witches, Kristen and Shayla.

I had to take a picture of some of the people who wanted to know if they worked there. They wanted to take their picture. So funny.

The girls got their make-up done and the costume was complete.

Every year we go to the witches at Gardners Village. We have such a good time eating fudge and shopping in all the little stores. It is the cutest place all decorated with Halloween fun. This year for witches night Katelyn and her friend Allison dressed up. The weather was sunny and beautiful. It was so funny because people thought they worked there they looked so cute. Diffrent people would stop them and ask if they could take their picture. It was starting to get old, when this Grandpa asked if the could take their picture with his Grandson. They said sure and he called over the cutest boy their age. Both girls faces lit up. It was priceless.

Underwater Adventure

Chase

I have been so busy that I haven't even had time to post some of the fun pictures I took this summer. So I'm going to do it randomly. I've tried to stay in order of events. I've gotten really behind. These were taken in Sept. with my new underwater gear for my camera. This is my pool. No, no, just dreaming. My friend Paisley invited us over to her sisters pool and we had such a great time. Thanks Kristen and Paisley we had so much fun. My friends got a big kick out of me wearing my fun goggles. It made it so much easier to see under water. Can't wait to try the gear out again. On a bright, sunshiny day.

Cheerleading Reunion

Pictured from left to right: Mindy Shipp, Stefanee Durfee, Jimilyn Bunker, Tina Crowe, Gina Nielson and Suzie Simkins. The names alone bring back memories.

My cheer leading reunion was so much fun. We had a great time visiting with each other. I had not seen some of these girls since I graduated from high school. (Which wasn't really that long ago.) For those of you that didn't make it. We missed you. Thank you to Jimilyn, Nanette and Stefanee for finding everyone and getting it put together. We should do it every year. Even if it was hard to get away. Pictured above: Tina Crowe Palmer, Amy Leavitt Hansen, Stefanee Durfee Glass, Suzanna Simkins Higginson. I wish I could have gotten a picture with everyone. Maybe next year.

Katelyns New, Pink, Beach Cruiser June 2009

Katelyn, Bailey (Katelyn's friend) and I went to this cute boutique in June. We had so much fun seeing all the jewelry, hair bows, clothes and the cutest Beach Cruisers you've ever seen. So I bought one for Katelyn on the spot (she really needed a bike.) I needed Dans truck to get it home so I went to Scottie's house to pick it up and thought I would buy myself one too. Mine is cream and pink. After Katelyn and I rode all around Salem everyone was asking where we bought it. Katelyn's Aunt Abbie ended up buying one a couple months later. Hers is blue. They are so cute. If you want to get one call Scottie's Cruiser's or you can google it for the number. They come in all colors. I can't wait to take them to Bear Lake next year. We had a great time in June taking these pictures. I'm so far behind on posting. Oh Well. I will eventually get caught up someday.

I'm not dead.

I'm having fun with photoshop. I love this picture of Katelyn. I think I will blow it up and put it in her room.
I know it has been ages since I blogged. Where does the time go. Make sure you scroll down I have been blogging and putting them in order. Check out our 4th of July. More to come.
