Once Upon A Time In Paris

Airplane Photo Shoot
The Airplane Shoot! It's finally done and I'm so excited to share it with you. The girls have been so excited to see the pictures. We took them June 30, 2011. I've been so busy with clients that they haven't even seen these pictures yet. Leave me a comment if you like what you see. Thanks VJ for giving me the shoot title. Here is Once Upon A Time In Paris. Doesn't every girl want to take a trip to the Eiffel Tower? I love the romantic city if you can't tell.
The girls individual pictures are coming next. They are GORGEOUS!

First Day of School August 22, 2011
Labels:
School
The first day of school is always a bitter sweet feeling for me. On one hand I'm sad they are going back. I like the company. I like sleeping in. I like going to bed LATE. I like doing things as a family. On the other hand. I like the freedom and alone time to get things done. I like the schedule. I like the structure.
This year Katelyn is a freshman. Thank goodness it's still in Junior High. I'm not ready for a High School er.
Her Favorite TV Show: Criminal Minds, Dance Moms, Project Runway
Her Worst TV Show: ESPN Sports
Her Favorite Color: Pink
Her Favorite Movie: The Ringer
Her Favorite Food: Steak with Trent Willmon BBQ Sauce
Her Favorite Book: The Hunger Games (I'm still trying to get her to love reading.)
Her Favorite Dessert: Cake Batter Ice Cream with Brownie
Her Favorite Thing She Did This Summer: Go Fishing, Practice Driving.
Chase is starting 4th Grade. He is so excited because he has a male teacher. The teacher goes out to recess and plays football with the boys.
His Favorite TV Show: ESPN Sports Highlight Reels and Suite Life On Deck.
His Worst TV Show: CSI and Criminal Minds
His Favorite Color: Red and Black, He wears everything red and black.
His Favorite Movie: The Rookie
His Favorite Food: Taco Soup
His Favorite Book: Shiloh
His Favorite Dessert: Reese's Buttercups
His Favorite Thing He Did This Summer: Motorcycle Rides at Night with his DAD.
My friend Heather posted this poem to her face book wall. I thought it was SO DARLING. I wanted to share it...
Twas the night before school started, when all through the town,
the parents were cheering...
It was a riotous sound!
By 8, kids were washed and tucked into bed...
Where memories of homework filled them with dread!
New pencils, new folders, new notebooks too!
New teachers, new friends...
Their anxiety grew!
The parents just giggled when they learned of this fright and shouted upstairs:
Go To Bed! It's a SCHOOL NIGHT!

Summer Days 2011
Labels:
Duct Tape Boat Regatta,
Mud Volleyball,
Rodeo
Summer always goes by in a blink of an eye. We mostly played baseball, went to dance and watched baseball. We tried to squeeze in a few Lagoon trips, the zoo, pool, sleep-overs, star-gazing and motorcycle rides. (We always fight to see who gets to ride on the back of Dan's motorcycle.) Why does summer have to go by so quickly? Part of me is ready and part of me feels like I didn't get anything accomplished this summer. I'm not ready for the snow to fall.
This will be a long post. I'm highlighting a few things we did this summer. Starting with the Big SF Rodeo. It's a huge hit with our family.
Then their was the mud volleyball... I don't know what it is with Katelyn and her love of mud? She did come clean.
Oh no he didn't.
Oh yes he did.
Katelyn and Allie Cat were in the Duct Tape Boat Regatta. They built there boat and then raced it on our pond. I was so proud of them. They won their race. Way to go girls. Allie's family always seem to win the whole thing year after year. I think this is their 5th year in the boat race. It's Katelyn's 2nd. Next year we are going to get Chase and Brad to race a boat. Next year we will train and get down to business so we can win those T-shirts.
First you build the boat from a huge flat piece of cardboard. Then you duck tape the crap out of it so it won't sink. Katelyn spent time curling her hair before the race. She planned on spending ZERO TIME in the water... Dan and Mindy were a huge help in building the boat. I was on the pict crew. (That's picture crew my friends.)
Chase and the crew watching while they work.
The finished product, with a little bit of decoration. It was funny because they spray painted it purple and blue to match their shirts they were wearing. Smart girls, always thinking.
A little motivation doesn't hurt.
Taking the boat to line up for the big race.
They wanted to write, "If your reading this then we are winning!". That would have been to long.
Brandon gave them a good start. They were trailing two boys in the "Dirty Pickle".
The "Dirty Pickle" tipped over and the girls made their move. The boys tried to push them back and over turn their boat but the girls hung on and paddled hard.
The girls winning their race. Katelyn was so excited because this newspaper guy was there and asked them for their names. We are still waiting to see if they made it into the paper.
The Winners....
Some creative people make their boats a head of time and they are so cool. Maybe next year we will come up with something really creative.
Lots of fun I must say.

Spring Bunny/ May 1, 2011
Labels:
Bunny
I took these pictures of the kiddos in May and I'm finally posting them. This bunny was so cute and his best friend is a huge, fluffy, white dog. They brought them together because it calms down the bunny.
